Our Team

We are proud to have a fantastic team of talented, dedicated and passionate teachers and choreographers from very diverse backgrounds. It takes a good teacher to teach to dance, but it takes a GREAT teacher to inspire and to teach to FEEL.


Creative Director, Teacher of Piano and Music Theory

Elena was born in Latvia and completed a degree in Music Theory and Composition. She has over 20 years experience in teaching, critiquing and composing music. Together with her younger daughter, Lana, Elena has been involved in several dance studios overseas and has been exposed to the various styles of dance. She has a strong passion for creating performances using carefully selected music, characters and dance. In 2009, Elena and her family migrated to Sydney, where together they started L.I.K.E. Dance Studio.

Elena plays a pivotal role at L.I.K.E. Dance by running all operations, liaising with the key stakeholders, teaching, as well as directing, producing and managing all performance programmes.

Acrobatics Coach, Dance Teacher and Choreographer

Lana has been dancing and practising acrobatics since the age of 5. Lana has practised various styles of dance, including hip-hop, jazz, rock'n'roll, lindy hop, lyrical, contemporary and classical ballet. Lana has received a number of awards, including in Australian national championships, as well as international dance competitions. In 2016 Lana received a Choreographer of the Year award at KAR Australia dance competition in Sydney.

Dance teacher, Choreographer

Katerina has been dancing for over 20 years and has been teaching since age of 15. When she was 9 years old she started dancing - jazz dance, show dance, hype dance (new jack swing), disco and hip hop dance. She has numerous awards in international dance competitions.

Her motto is: "What is Love? Dance... is my llife, music is the rythm of my life, dancefloor is my world ... I try to be better everyday: Every dance teacher has to improve knowledges and we have to learn all life. We have to learn many dance styles and our average of experiences will be wider. We have to be patient and very hard-working!"

Dance Teacher, Choreographer, Acrobatics Coach

Elena has started dancing at the age of 5 at an exemplary ensemble of Russia. She completed Choreography course (11 years of studying) in 2009 at the Children's creative centre #4 in Byisk.

Elena has won a number of both national and international awards in dance. In 2011 she created her first dance composition and won the 1st place in a national students' dance choreography competition.

In 2013 Elena moved to Sydney and started her career as a dance teacher at North Sydney Demonstration School. She has many years of experience in teaching dance for children aged from 2 years old. In 2019, Elena was awarded for Best Choreography at Rainbow Dance in Sydney.

2011 – International dance competition in Hungary (1st and 2nd place)

Acrobatics Coach

Originally from Sydney, Josephina has toured internationally with several different circus and theatre productions for the past 10 years. 
Her speciality is contortion/flexibility, balannce, aerial acts and hula hoops and she has a background in competitive gymnastics. 
She has taught acrobatics, circus skills and gymnastics to children and adults at several schools throughout Australia and the U.K.

Josephina has performed as part of Circo Solary (Mexico), Rose Events (Morocco), Circus Latino (Australia), Pro Show Evolution (China), Gifford Circus (UK) and Cirque de Normandie (France).

Dance Teacher, Choreographer

Eli grew up in Queensland, training at the Australian Dance Performance Institute (ADPI). Eli has shared the stage with iconic Australian artists, including Kylie Minogue, Olivia Newton John and Tina Arena, as well as international artists Shym, Yanis Marshal, RuPaul and Ke$ha.

Eli has been seen on TV programs, including X Factor, So You Think You Can Dance and also a featured dancer in Baz Luhrman's "The Great Gatsby".

Eli performed a leading role on a Sydney Showboat for 3 years before he was asked to move to France and join the most famour cabaret in the world, the Moulin Rouge. During his four years in Paris Eli has honed in on his teaching and choreography (and French) skills. Eli has held dance classes at Studio Harmonique in Paris and Sydney Dance Company in Australia.

Ballet Teacher

Born in Ukraine, Vadym has been classically trained as a ballet artist (Vaganova ballet). Vadym has performed as a principal dancer of Ukrainian National Music Academy for 8 years. At the same time, Vadym taught ballet at Kiev Minskiy Children College of Arts. In 1998, Vadym moved to South Korea where he joined Seoul Ballet Theatre. He has also performed as a guest dancer at Universal Ballet Company in Seoul.

Vadym has been teaching ballet in the best Korean ballet schools. Since he moved to Australia in 2012, he has been a guest ballet teacher at various school in Sydney.

Vadym's students have had great success stories and been accepted into best ballet performance theatres around the world.
